Thanks to augmented reality technology, Star Wars fans can now experience the franchise in ways they only used to imagine. Also, as Jeff Meredith, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Lenovo Consumer PCs and Smart Devices said:

“Augmented reality has always been an important part of Star Wars, and it’s exciting to bring these key moments to life by marrying Lenovo technology with Disney’s storytelling.”

Enjoy a variety of AR experiences through the games’ many levels of deep and immersive gameplay. Learn the ways of the Force and other Jedi knowledge with the Archivist, the in-game guide. With this knowledge, engage in Light Saber fights against classic villains like Darth Vader.  Take charge of the Rebel Alliance and combat the Empire in battles across the living room floor with the Strategic Combat feature. Lastly, relive A new Hope as you play Holochess with this new game.

To get your intergalactic adventure, started download the Star Wars: Jedi Challenges app onto a compatible phone. After that, just slide it into the Lenovo Mirage AR headset for the full immersion with optimal comfort during gameplay. The headset also comes with a Tracking Beacon to properly detect your every movement.

It wouldn’t be Star Wars without the iconic Lightsaber, and this product comes with a collectible Lightsaber controller modeled after Luke Skywalker’s own weapon. Using visible light tracking technology, the headset pinpoints the location of the controller and allows players to see a beam of light from the “hilt”. For a more realistic experience the device has haptic feedback, and inertial measurement to keep the beam stable.

Star Wars: Jedi Challenges will be available in certain markets by November. However, pricing and availability will differ from country to country.
