Gionee to release 6000mAh Dual Battery smartphone

Gionee is reportedly working on a smartphone equipped with two 3000mAh batteries. Yes, you heard it right. That’s two 3000mAh batteries with an incredible combined capacity of 6000mAh. The smartphone, first leaked as Gionee M5 thru TENAA, a telecommunications equipment certification center in China, promises up to four days battery life on a single charge. The batteries can also be used separately, giving you a continuous battery power.

The Gionee M5 is rumoured to have a 720p AMOLED display, 1.3 Ghz quad-core processor, 2gb of RAM, 16gb internal storage expandable up to 128 GB via micro SD, an 8 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front facing cameras and comes pre-installed with Android 5.0 Lollipop. Measuring at 152 x 76 x 8.6mm, the Gionee M5 is listed to weigh 213 grams. The M5 will be available in Black, White, and Gold colour variants. Gionee is the first Android manufacturer to feature dual batteries on a smartphone and we just can’t wait for the device to hit production.
