If you want to switch to the Windows 8 platform, there’s not a lot of handsets to choose from at the moment. HTC does have two though and the good thing is, they will go on a one-day sale on December 18 at the HTC Concept Store in SM City North EDSA. That’s tomorrow.
HTC Windows Phone 8S –
The HTC Windows Phone 8S is a mid-range WP8 phone with a fun colorful dual-color design. It has a 4-inch Super LCD display with a 800 x 480 screen resolution. Powering this phone is a dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm Krait processor to go with 512MB RAM. Internal storage is limited at 4GB but you can use a microSD for expansion. There’s also built-in Beats audio and a 5-megapixel camera at the back but with no front-facing one. For just under Php10,000, this phone is already a steal if you’re looking into WP8.
HTC Windows Phone 8X –
The 8X is HTC’s flagship Windows Phone sporting a decent 4.3-inch Super LCD2 screen protected by Gorilla Glass that’s laminated to reduce glare. It is outfitted with a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Krait processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB fixed storage with no room for microSD expansion. It uses an 8-megapixel f/2.0 camera with the same ImageSense chip of the HTC One X and its ilk so expect very decent photos from this device.
This sale is only good for one day, and the first 88 buyers of each handset. HTC will be limiting it to one handset per customer.
