iPad mini starts to show up in the Philippine grey market

The Apple Pad mini has officially been released in select countries and demands are quite high that we heard it’s already sold out in Apple stores in Singapore.

There’s no word yet on when it will officially arrive here, but if you’re looking forward in getting the iPad mini or the new and improved iPad this soon, you might want to check out your favorite gray market store. Price is not going to be friendly though.

Over at Widget City, they will be carrying the iPad mini and the iPad 4 starting on Monday with the following prices:

iPad Mini (WiFi Only)

  • 16GB White – Php19,790 | Black – Php19,490
  • 32GB – Php23,990
  • 64GB – Php28,290

iPad 4 (WiFi Only)

  • 16GB – Php22,490
  • 32GB – Php26,490
  • 64GB – Php30,990

If you want it sooner, Kimstore will have stocks of the iPad mini as early as tomorrow with the following prices:

  • 16GB – 20,000 (still available)
  • 32GB – 24,500 (sold out early)
  • 64GB – 28,500 (sold out early)

If you’re wondering how much the iPad mini is really going for if you buy it online from Apple Store SG, it’s around Php15k (16GB), Php19.5k (32GB), and Php24k (64GB) with tax already included.

So will you wait? Or buy now?

SO overpriced law of supply and demand daw? or law of income and net profit?

    • these stores need to make a killing before it officially hits apple stores. and yeah, law of supply and demand. kahit sa singapore umaabot sa ganitong presyo when you buy it outside apple stores.

    • Saw a post on YugaTech about some of the scam operations of some of the sellers in Singapore. They’re even based in malls and they target buyer’s credit cards! I absolutely hate that kind of stuff because they take advantage of all the chaos that happens when a new device comes into such great demand.

I think it’s great that these sellers are able to bring these new gadgets even before the official launch. They invest their own money just so we can get our hands on them earlier. Sure, it might come at a more premium price, but certainly not at a price point that isn’t fair to us or them.

May willing talaga magbayad ng mas mahal para mauna 🙂 I don’t see anything wrong with taking that opportunity. If you have the resources, try to picture yourself in the shoes of the buyer or the seller.

  • oh i really want this.. hope i have enough money tobuy this soon.

How can we order from Apple SG? I had trouble in the address field. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

    • Mari

      Hi there!
You may use freight forwarders’ agent address to ship from SG to MNL.

planning to get one by the 1st week of dec. sana nman meron na s apple.com.ph pra makamura.. but i doubt it will just be around 15k.

iPod touch 5th gen 32gb is $299 in the US. Php 16,500 at apple.ph
iPad mini wifi only 16gb is $329. So it will be a lil more expensive than Touch 5 when released here.
