Lenovo has finally released its newest device dubbed as the Z5, aiming to compete against smartphones in the market with an almost all-screen design.
While Apple’s iPhone X started this trend, renders from Lenovo showing Lenovo Z5’s all-screen display was taken by tech critics as a game changer. However, the company opted to have a notch after all for the said product.
The device flaunts a 6.2-inch 19:9 1080p screen with bezels that are said to be thinner than the Xiaomi 8 and iPhone X. The technology company also claims a screen-to-body ratio of 90 percent.
The Lenovo Z5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor. It has dual cameras with a 16-megapixel main and an 8-megapixel secondary while the front is an 8-megapixel shooter. The device is also equipped with 3, 300 mAh battery with fast charging support.
The new smartphone will start its pre-orders on June 12 in China. The 64GB version is priced at 1,299 yuan ($200) and the 128GB model costs 1,799 ($280).
It is expected to be available in other markets after its China launch.
