Samsung Galaxy A50 launches in the Philippines

Samsung brings flagship specs to its latest midrange device, the Galaxy A50. Touting a triple rear camera setup, 4,000mAh battery, and on-screen fingerprint, the Samsung Galaxy A50 allows you to experience features usually found on high-end devices on a relatively affordable price.

The new Galaxy A Series device boasts its triple camera system at the back, which according to Samsung, mimics human eyesight. The rear cameras include a 25MP main sensor with f/1.7 aperture, which ensures clear images even in low light. There’s also an 8MP 123° Ultra Wide lens for spanning pictures and a 5MP Live Focus snapper for bokeh images. In front is a 25MP sensor with Selfie Focus feature for beautiful self-portraits.

With a slim design and smooth curved shape, the Galaxy A50 sports the all-new Infinity U display; it has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with on-screen fingerprint scanner. Inside, this Samsung smartphone features a octa-core Exynos processor. It also comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, the latter is expandable up to 512GB via microSD card. Powering this device is huge 4,000mAh battery with fast-charging support.

Priced at P17,990, the Galaxy A50 is avaialble in three new color options—Black, White, and Blue inspired by scattered light. It will officially be available starting March 30, 2019. You can get it at authorized Samsung stores nationwide and online partners Abenson, Argomall, Lazada, MemoXpress, and Shopee.

Samsung is offering a limited pre-order period, beginning March 16 until March 29, 2019. All pre-orders come bundles with a free JBL Go 2 speakers (P2,299), a mini tripod (P1,499), and a 10,000mAh battery pack (P1,299).
