You have to give it to Samsung for leaving no stones left unturned when it comes to having mobile phones of various screen sizes. This time around, Samsung Philippines officially announced the Galaxy Mega, a phone which comes in a whopping 6.3-inch screen size, or 5.8-inch screen size, on that familiar Galaxy phone design.
The Samsung Galaxy Mega runs on Android Jelly Bean and will inherit some of the popular features of their high-end Galaxy devices. Among the included list of features is the S-Translator, Group Play, S-Travel, Story Album, Air View, and split-screen multitasking to make use of the huge screen.
Both Galaxy Mega devices are powered by a dual-core processor but the Mega 6.3 will be LTE-capable while the Mega 5.8 tops at HSPA+ network speed. The bigger one also has the advantage of NFC capability and support for WiFi ac.
Both versions sport an 8-megapixel camera that comes with some cool features like Drama Shot which allows you to merge continuous shots of a moving subject, and Sound & Shot to capture a 9-second clip with sound and voice.
The Samsung Galaxy Mega will be available by June 15, 2013 and while no SRP has been announced, we were told that the Mega 6.3 will be above P20k, while the Mega 5.8 will be below P20k.
