Samsung teams up with the TUMI luggage brand to launch a new variant of the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier. With the TUMI logo on its virtual face, this new version will get a strap made of TUMI’s signature luggage material.
In terms of specs, however, buyers will still get the time-tested Samsung finesse and internal design as the Galaxy S3 Frontier. This Tizen-equipped wearable tech sports a 1.3-inch Super AMOLED clock face, with Gorilla Glass Sr+ Crystal protection. In addition, it will also run on 768MB RAM and 4GB internal storage, and allow watch-to-phone Bluetooth connections.
This time, Samsung aims to mirror competitor devices that came out this 2017. More importantly, it focuses on the concepts of luggage and travel to sell to a growing market. Notable brands taking focus on this trend include the USD 3,000 Louis Vitton Android wearable.
If you’re looking for Gear S4 news, however, you might be out of luck. For now, the new TUMI-designed Samsung Gear S3 will dominate the hype train for a little while longer. FOr now, this TUMI Special Edition only exists in US markets, releasing on July 28th online, August 6th at retail. The price tag for this designer smartwatch clocks in at USD 450 (roughly PHP 22,748).
