Smart Launchpad is a talent search and content creation program that encourages everyone to do what they do best. It can be anything, from singing, to dancing, to travelling, to making people laugh. This coincides with Smart’s desire to promote its its fast and efficient Internet service. Smart took its Launchpad Upload Stations to different malls and schools all over the country. There, content creators could create their entries on the spot.
Not your typical talent search
The winners were chosen after a three-day event at First Pacific Leadership Academy, Antipolo City that included workshops hosted by YouTube and social media experts like Carlo Ople, Enrique Cu Unjieng and Frank Aldana.
Additionally, intimate breakout groups continued to facilitate more specific tips. These mentors include celebrity Nicole Andersson and make-up guru Michelle Dy for vlogging, choreographer Paulo Infante for dance, and recording artist Moira dela Torre for singing. The workshop attendees gained valuable tips on how to understand and build their YouTube channel, which includes channel monetization, audience growth, and the use of a Samsung 360 camera.
