The CEA-G80T (80GB) and the CEA-G160T (160GB) use the latest flash memory control technology that reduces buffer clearing times. Both memory cards boast up to 700MB/s and up to 800MB/s write and read speeds, respectively.

TheseĀ  Sony cards are capable of high-speed continuous shooting of more than 1,000 uncompressed RAW still images. They can also easily process 4K 120p movie recordings at high bit rates with Slow & Quick Motion function. The cards comply with the VPG400 video performance guarantee profile specification ensures stable video recording at 400MB/s.

The two cards are compatible with the new Alpha 7S III, which features two media slots for simultaneous media capture or extended continuous recording. The slots also support standard UHS-I and UHS-II SDXC SDHC cards.

Sony equipped the cards with Memory Card File Rescue data recovery software. Users can easily recover accidentally deleted RAM images and 4K videos with the program. Sony will also update its Media Scan Utility media diagnostic software to add support for the new memory cards.
