Sony stands firm in its belief that gadgets go beyond function. Thus, Sony Philippines hosts its yearly Sony Fair that features interactive displays, activities and workshops that share the Sony view.
The event, which runs from December 9 to 18, brings together some of Sony’s flagship products from their mobile, digital imaging, home entertainment, personal audio, and gaming divisions.
The first major feature shows off Bravia’s stunning showcase which features the latest X93000D 4K HDR TV, and the Z9D. The latter is a 4K HDR television that offers top-notch picture quality in a super-thin design. These products pair well with the HT-ST9 Soundbar with Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, and redefine the meaning of audio and entertainment. Attendees can enjoy the best of Sony Bravia at Sony’s Bravia Movie Nights on December 10, 11, 17, and 18.
Of course, nobody can forget the Sony PlayStation display which will exhibit some of this year’s hottest titles, including Final Fantasy XV, Just Dance, and NBA2K17. Filipino gamers can also get their hands on the much-hyped PlayStation VR Headset.
The Sony Fair also showcases Sony’s personal audio products at the Sony Extra Bass and Hi-Res booths. Among the products featured include Sony’s personal audio Bluetooth devices such as the MDR-XB650BT EXTRA BASS Headphones, MDR-1000X Noise-Canceling Headphones, and SRS-XB3 Portable Wireless Speaker. They’re followed up by the Hi-Res Audio Workshop featuring Sony Ambassador and Creative Director for Live Events and Concerts Juno Oebanda on December 11. Finally, the Sony Fair also has the Extra Bass DJ Workshop and Silent Party with DJ Rammy Bitong on December 10. This party feel comes full circle afterwards at the Feel the Passion Dance Clinic featuring Upeepz Dance Crew on December 17.
For smartphone aficionados, the Xperia booth is perfect for them. There will be a comprehensive display of today’s hottest mobile devices from the Xperia X Series, including the Xperia XZ flagship mobile phone. Mobile photography workshops will host special guests Pierre Guevarra, Linus Banaag and Marvin Conanan on December 10, 11, and 18. They’ll teach will teach Xperia fans how to take masterful selfies and high-quality urban photography. Finally, fans get a chance to win an Xperia device through an on-the-spot mobile photography contest on December 17.
Last but not least, the Alpha and Cyber-Shot cameras on display at the Sony Digital Imaging aim to inspire today’s new breed of photographers and content creators. Exciting on-site activities include a bar tending and flaring demonstration, as well as a BMX bike & skateboard exhibition. Related workshops and talks feature speakers and teachers like Pilar Trigo Bonnin, Paco Guerrero, Nina Sandejas, and Mayad Studios. On the other hand, hobbyists can undergo travel, flat lay, toy, and fashion photography workshops featuring Sony Ambassadors Kimi Juan, Jelito de Leon, Sheng Gonzales and Charisma Lico on December 17 and 18.
