Sony has just unveiled its latest Xperia smartphone models in the Philippines. Launched last month at the IFA 2015, the Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact and Z5 Premium are all powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Octa Core processor and are equipped with the latest camera technology similarly found on the Sony Alpha cameras. The new Z5 smartphones feature a large 1/2.3 Exmor RS for mobile 23MP sensor with F2.0 lens and delivers the fastest autofocus in its category, shooting photos in just 0.03 seconds – faster than the blink of an eye.
The latest Xperia smartphones are made from premium materials, highlighted by a metal frame and frosted glass back. The Xperia Z5 has a 5.2-inch FHD display while the pocket-friendly Xperia Z5 Compact has a 4.6-inch HD display. The world’s first 4K Ultra HD smartphone, the Xperia Z5 Premium boasts of a 5.5-inch 4K UHD (3840×2160), 806 PPI display and can capture 4K videos and upscale contents to near 4K quality.
A first on Sony Xperia smartphones is the integrated fingerprint sensor on the power button for unlocking the device. The new Z5 smartphones also feature Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 that provides 5.5 hours usage in just 10 minutes of charging.
The Sony Xperia Z5 will be available in colors white, graphite black, gold and green with an SRP of Php 35,990. The Xperia Z5 Compact comes in brighter colors including yellow and coral in addition to the white and graphite black variants and will retail for Php 29,990.
Sony has not yet announced the price of the Xperia Z5 Premium but it will be available in chrome, white and gold. Both the Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium will be available in Single-SIM variants only.
The Sony Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact are now available in all Sony Centers and Sony Mobile Stores nationwide. The Xperia Z5 Premium will be available starting December 3.
