Sun Tipid Calls unlimited to landline

A site, suntipidcalls.co.nr, is claiming they can provie unlimited calls to landline for Sun Cellular subscribers.

Sun Tipid Calls is a fully independent home-based community service by SUN subscribers for other SUN subscribers. We give unlimited Sun cellular to Landline service to all Sun cellular users using our own equipment. Get Unlimited calls from your SUN Cellular mobile phone to any landline in Metro Manila from anywhere in the Philippines, Sun-to-Sun lang tawag mo pero nakatawag ka na sa landline! If you want to donate more, you are very much welcome po pero we believe yung minimal donation na hinihingi namin is enough to cover the community service we provide. Ang regular rate ng cellphone to landline is about P6.00 per minute average. Ang 1 hour cellphone-to-landline call is equivalent to about P360.00 or more, kaya sulit na po talaga, Sun Tipid Calls talaga! Para sa mga nagaalala na baka scam ito and gusto ng demo, we can provide demo within the Ortigas and Makati areas after work hours po and subject lang po sa availability ng service volunteers namin, contact us thru text or email for appointment.

The service is independent of Sun Cellular and is not sanctioned by it so we still don’t know if it’s really legit (though they claim it’s legal). Only landline calls within Metro Manila is allowed at the moment (maybe because their setup is hooked up to a MM landline).

They are also looking for service volunteers who can hook up their system and provide additional access numbers. Check out their site at http://www.suntipidcalls.co.nr/

  • wow, pretty neat.. spoiler tho, from a sun-sim phone you will dial another sun-sim phone where your calls will be transferred to a “machine” (they need a volunteer so probably the volunteer will be the one who would do the dialing) where you can enter thru numeric dialing the phone you need to call on to.. and there you go, free sun cell to landline calls..

Sun had announced last week that they’ll put a cap on their unlimited calls.

  • skeptic here. unsustainable. noble, perhaps, but unsustainable.

That said, all the best to the proponents.

chanced upon this site via another forum….subscribed to it and so far i’m happy with it…the volunteers are the folks you actually pay to and harass in case you have problems with your account…IMHO the system works great…its a technical work around using GSM gateway terminals which cost somewhere $1000 upwards…not a bad way to spend my P500 bucks…in my first week…i used up the equivalent of what i paid…cool.

Why not just buy that GSM Terminal unit in Quiapo or 168? They cost much less than $1000 or 2-3 years subscription. In such a setup, you send out your very own caller id and not random ones, receive landline calls on your cell, you’ll be free from service interruption as these GSM-to-landline operators could be busted anytime, and best of all, no subscription fees forever.

  • – Is this legal? Yes, absolutely and technically speaking, you are just calling another Sun Cellular subscriber. It’s more “illegal” to unblock your phone when you purchase it blocked from your network service provider to use in another network…

nitpicking here.. but they gotta change that. saying it’s ‘more illegal’ implies that they’re illegal as well. will email them.
