Xiaomi updates Redmi 2 with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage

Xiaomi’s Redmi line has been deemed one of the best bang-for-the-buck devices on its price range, until the time that other brands came into the picture and presented phones with monster specs never imagined at the same price range. The company is slowly catching up as it released an Enhanced version of the Redmi 2, with upgraded RAM and internal storage in tow.

With nothing much changed, Xiaomi launched the new Redmi 2 Enhanced in Singapore sporting a $179 (Php 8,100*) price tag. Can this model make its way to the country too? We’ll find out soon.
